Labopharm cuts 35 jobs

Makes move after recording wider third-quarter loss

Laval, Que. — Labopharm Inc. is cutting 35 jobs, about one quarter of its work force.

The drug developer widened its third-quarter loss to $6.9-million or 12 cents a share versus a loss of $6-million or 11 cents in the corresponding period last year.

Revenue contracted to $6.6-million from $9.4-million.
