The partners at Bennett Jones LLP are pleased to welcome John F. Rook, Q.C. to their flourishing Toronto office. Mr. Rook, a partner and now leader of Bennett Jones’ National Competition Practice Group, will provide extensive experience to the firm's successful litigation practice, and will specialize in the areas of antitrust and litigation.

A senior litigator, Mr. Rook has appeared before the courts of a number of provinces, the federal courts and the Supreme Court of Canada. He has also appeared before the Competition Tribunal, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission, the National Energy Board, the Manitoba Public Utilities Board and the Ontario Energy Board, among others.

In the community, Mr. Rook is a board member of the Stratford Festival and the St. Andrew's College Foundation.

Appointed Queen's Counsel in 1984, he earned his LL.B. from the University of Toronto in 1971 following completion of his B.A. Hons. (Economics) from Queen's University in 1968, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1973.
