Bennett Jones LLP, one of Canada's leading business law firms, is delighted to announce that Michael Clifford has joined our Toronto office.

Arriving from another prominent Canadian law firm, Michael joins us as Partner. He has an active corporate finance practice, and specializes in asset securitizations and similar structured finance and derivative transactions. He has acted as lead counsel for originators, single and multi-vendor conduits, underwriters, banks and other financial intermediaries on a diverse range of transactions and asset classes in the public and private markets. He also regularly acts for various national and international entities on secured and unsecured lendings, government-sponsored programs and innovative structured products.

Michael obtained his Law Degree from the University of Toronto in 1988, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1990. He is recognized in The Best Lawyers in Canada, Lexpert, Euromoney's Guide to the World's Leading Structured Finance Lawyers, The Guide to the World's Leading Capital Markets Lawyers, The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers and the IFLR Guide to the World's Leading Financial Law Firms as a leading capital markets lawyer.
